I didn't walk away from church because God failed me. I walked away from church because church wasn't carrying out God's mission. I got tired of spending time, money and energy on something so ineffective.

Bgriff ... "Carry on my wayward son!" : ) I can appreciate your perspective. I do believe many local bodies have focused solely on on the saints and reach no sinners. It's one thing to have alter calls ... it's another to develop relationships and life change happen within those confines.
